Past and Present

Peace Lutheran Church was established in 1965 and for most of its history offered a classical style of ministry. In 1998 we decided to expand our ministry by addressing the current needs and styles in our community. While maintaining and strengthening our traditional ministry, we added the needed talent and technology to offer a broader experience of worship and ministry.

We offer two unique styles of worship on Sunday mornings, one classical and one contemporary. Our Sunday morning schedule includes classes for children, youth, and adults. Small groups for adults and youth group for middle and high school meet weekly.

Our staff includes a full time pastor, office administrator and an array of paid and volunteer music leaders, musicians and helpers of all kinds.

The church campus has seven buildings: a worship center, preschool building, fellowship hall, youth center, meeting rooms, offices and a staff house. Peace currently shares its ministry center with an AA group that meets daily at 12 noon. We also support Meals on Wheels through daily use of our facilities.  Other ministries we support are The Shepherd Center, The Sharing Center, Daily Bread and Love I.N.C.

We have recently moved our denominational affiliation to Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). This association of congregations matches our focus of building disciples who build disciples for Jesus Christ.  We are building an engaged and an engaging community focused on our relationship with God through Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are developing new ways to be engaged in worship, build leadership and free the gifts of our members to serve God and the community. We hope you will join us in this journey.
